Would you like to be involved with the Southwold boating lake and café feasibility study?

Southwold Town Council and the Coastal Community Team have commissioned a feasibility study and options appraisal on the future use(s) and the viability of options for the whole of the boating lake site.

This project will seek to identify future development/investment options for the entire boating lakes 20-acre site, which includes the tearooms to the front, the model yacht pond and the large lagoon area at the rear of the site which encompasses an area of rich natural habitat.

The work will look at different options to optimise the site for uses for green tourism; a year round attraction and development for community use; and maximising its potential as a heritage asset ensuring that each element compliments the other.

The feasibility study will also take into consideration how signage could be improved to the site, how interpretation of the site could be developed and options for linking the asset with other attractions and places of interest within Southwold.

We welcome your feedback and would like to receive your comments via a short survey. The survey should take about 2 minutes to complete.
