Southwold Town Council

On behalf of the Town Council, Cllr
Ian Bradbury, Town Mayor of Southwold, wishes to express great sadness and
sorrow on the passing of Cllr Susan Doy:
“In Sue we have lost a Town
Councillor who always put the town of Southwold first trying to achieve the
best for local people.  Thank you, Sue
for the many years of service you gave unstintingly; your work will always be
appreciated, valued and above all remembered.
Sue is irreplaceable in every way.
Sue took pride in everything she did and her devotion to the town and
its people will remain forever in our memories.”

Cllr Sue Doy was a Town Councillor for 17 years and Town Mayor in 2009-2010.  Sue’s patriotic devotion to Queen, Country and Southwold translated itself to the Town Council, thus ensuring that all civic occasions took place in the most appropriate, respectful, and dignified way. It is impossible to express the values that Sue brought to the Town Council and her sense of humour will resonate forever.
