Unfortunately following the Government announcement on Saturday of a further lockdown from 5th November – churches will be closed from Thursday apart for private prayer . This will mean that  the planned Remembrance Day Service and the subsequent planned laying of wreaths cannot take place in the format that had originally been envisaged. The Royal British Legion are encouraging people across the nations to ensure Remembrance Sunday is still marked appropriately by taking part in remote and socially distanced Remembrance activity, whether that be watching the service on television or pausing for the Two Minute Silence in their home or on their doorsteps.
