This is a new initiative for the residents of Southwold as an additional method to communicate with its local Police Community Support Officer. The idea is simple. To post notes into the letterbox with NON-EMERGENCY matters for Suffolk Constabulary to be aware of, or for intervention were possible.
The letterbox is situated in the red phone box on the corner of the High Street and Victoria Street, opposite the Post Office.
Suitable notes include anti-social behaviour, suspicious behaviour and vehicle concerns.
Please provide as much information relevant as possible, such as date, time, location / description and circumstances.
THIS SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN AN EMERGENCY. IN AN EMERGENCY ALWAYS CALL 999.
Notes can be completely anonymous too.
